PRESIDENT UNITECR 2017
Dear Colleagues. The Organizing Committee of UNITECR 2017 has been enthusiastically working for more than a year to provide the best congress for refractory specialists from around the world, not only in the technical program but also in the social side of the meeting. As you may know, the first UNITECR (Unified International Technical Conference on Refractories) took place in the United States and since then UNITECR has taken place every two years with the venue rotating between North America, Europe, Japan and Latin America.
It is a great honor and privilege for ALAFAR (The Latin-American Association of Refractory Manufacturers) to host UNITECR 2017, which will take place at the CentroParque International Conference Center in Santiago, Chile from September 26 to September 29, 2017. This is the fourth time ALAFAR will host the conference. We would like to express our sincere appreciation for your continuous support and cooperation with our organization. We have selected a convention center that meets all of the requirements, with the best infrastructure, and located in a natural park within the heart of Santiago, close to many hotels, restaurants, shopping centers and various tourist attractions.
